All contributions (in silk-screen, offset and letterpress on various papers) are presented in a sparkling variety: foldouts, collages, vinyl, separate booklets.

Each issue contains a 7-inch vinyl dedicated to sound poetry: Henri Chopin & Brion Gysin [Axe 1], Brion Gysin and François Dufrêne [Axe 2], Sten Hanson [Axe 3].

An early poetic work on Jazz music by one of the two directors of the important Belgian art periodical Sélection.

Although the titlepage mentions that the illustrations were hand coloured by the artist, most of the copies, like this one also, remained uncolored.

The eye-catching cover, printed in red and black, is filled with humorous advertisements that relate somehow to the poet’s habits and customs, providing the book with a dadaïstic look.

Ongesigneerd exemplaar, zoals vrijwel alle bekende exemplaren. Vouwblad, 4p. 25:16,5 cm.

Bevat naast het indertijd ophefmakende gedicht Oote, ook de gedichten Jossie (in een Engelse vertaling van Ethel Portnoy) en Sonnet.

TYP. Typografisch papier.

Amsterdam 1986-2021. A complete collection of this unconventional, critical and very sparkling Dutch typographic magazine. TYP was launched in 1986 by graphic artist Max Kisman as a birthday present for two of his close friends; Jan Dietvorst and Peter Mertens. Together they formed the illustrious ‘Genootschap Kunst & Macht’ (Art & Power Society).

Soon after the birthday party, ‘TYP issue A’ was printed for a larger audience. Editors Jan Dietvorst, Henk Groenendijk, Atte Jongstra, Max Kisman, Kees Maas and Peter Mertens’ mission was to declare war to the state of design, typography and taste of the Dutch aesthetic elite of the time. ‘We are our own future!’ (from the editorial of issue A).

Although TYP was first of all a printed magazine on paper, experimenting in a variety of formats and printing techniques, other media were explored too. Thanks to ‘Media Master’ Peter Mertens, TYP had a pionering role in using electronic multi-media and became the first Dutch magazine to explore its role through the internet. To this day its content remains strikingly current.

133 dichters uit 25 landen / 133 poets from 25 countries. Samengesteld door G.J. de Rook / Edited by G.J. de Rook. 1975 Den Haag, Uitgeverij Bert Bakker, 224p. 20:15 cm. Voorzijde omslag: ‘Concrete poem’ van Pieter Mol. Gaaf exemplaar.

‘Deze bloemlezing wil een momentopname zijn van de huidige situatie van de visuele poëzie, na de doodverklaring, eind 1971 van de, strikt lettergebonden, konkrete poëzie. Aan een breed gekozen veld van kunstenaars is gevraagd enkele ongepubliceerde werken in te zenden. Het aantal opgestuurde gedichten is mee bepalend geweest voor het aantal hier afgedrukte. Meer of minder pagina’s in dit boek is dus geen weerspiegeling van de belangrijkheid van de kunstenaar. Afwezigheid van een dichter is meer het gevolg van het niet kunnen achterhalen van zijn adres of vertraging door postale en/of persoonlijke redenen dan van een beoordeling van de waarde van zijn werk.’
